Welcome to Moulicent
carp fishery
Moulicent is a stunning
picturesque lake, set in the Orne region of
Lower-Normandy, and is within the national Parc
Du Perche conservation area. Moulicent is 4
acres in size and is situated within a wooded
valley without being overlooked by any roads
offering perfect solitude for the carp angler.
The lake received a
stocking of carp some 10 years ago since then it
has been left untouched and test fishing has
revealed fish caught up to 30lb with bigger
being sited, in addition to this a further 100
carp have been purchased and have been
introduced in preparation of the 2008 season
with the best fish going over 50lb
Four comfortable swims
have been created on just one side of the lake,
a maximum of 4 anglers per week is allowed the
lake is very long so there is plenty of space
for everyone.
Depths range from 8 feet
at the dam end up to 3 feet in the shallows all
snags have been removed from the lake and the
lake bottom is mainly silt with hard clay
patches.
The owner lives on site
and is always on hand to help out and give
advice on anything that’s required.
Near the lake is a
fully equipped static caravan offering anglers
all the comforts of home including a bait
freezer for your use, TV with UK channels,
kitchen and shower with WC, outside there is a
seating area with BBQ overlooking the lake.
All local amenities are
a short drive from the lake including shops,
bars, restaurants and tobacconist
